This Sunday began in Tlajomulco de Zúñiga, Jalisco, the tribute to the singer Vicente Fernández. Images from Foro TV – CNN affiliate – showed the moment when the artist’s coffin entered the VFG Arena accompanied by his mariachi and with the song “El Rey” in the background.

The “Chente” died in Guadalajara
Vicente Fernández, a music icon in Mexico, died this Sunday at the age of 81, in a hospital in the western Mexican city of Guadalajara, according to a publication on his official Instagram account. According to the statement, Fernández died at 6:15 am in the morning.
The star of the station wagon had been hospitalized since August after a fall, forcing him to undergo cervical surgery. Later, his condition worsened when he was diagnosed with pneumonia, according to his account.
