Trenitalia is offering Paris-Lyon train tickets at an unbeatable price this Monday – GEO

It’s the end of a monopoly. Roberto Rinaudo, the CEO of the Italian public company Trenitalia, revealed in the columns of the Parisian the opening for ticket sales of his new line Paris-Lyon-Turin-Milan. “The sale opens Monday at 9 a.m. on our website and in our two shops, Paris Gare de Lyon and Lyon Part-Dieu.“, specifies the CEO.”From December 18, we offer two round trips per day between Paris and Milan Central with stops at Lyon-Part Dieu, Chambéry, Modane and Turin. In the morning, departures are scheduled at 7.26 am in Paris and 6.25 am in Milan. Afternoon departures at 3:18 p.m. from Paris-Gare de Lyon and at 3:53 p.m. from Milan. “Says Roberto Rinaudo. Passengers will now have the choice between SNCF and the first operator to compete with it on its high-speed network.

Starting prices for a Paris-Lyon or a Paris-Milan

The base fare in standard class, the equivalent of second class, for a Paris-Lyon ticket is 23 euros, and 29 euros for a Paris-Milan.

The price of business class goes up to 29 euros for a Paris-Lyon and 36 euros for a Paris-Milan, with a sweet or savory snack included. This is obviously only the starting price. Trenitalia will however offer a fixed price for the executive class at 139 euros for Paris-Lyon, with an à la carte meal service instead.

Also note that tickets are free for children under 4 and at 50% for 4/14 years.

Trenitalia wants to stand out thanks to its service

But how does the Italian group intend to stand out from its French competitor? For Roberto Rinaudo, only one answer: service. “Our fleet is recent, it dates from 2014, and it is technologically very advanced. Our Freciarossa can go up to 360 km / h but it also respects environmental standards: it is 94% recyclable and emits only 28 micrograms of CO2 per passenger per kilometer“, indicates the CEO of Trenitalia to Parisien. These modern trains have a rich offer”with four levels of service, free and stable wi-fi and the possibility of choosing, as standard and in business, a “silenzio” car for reading, sleeping or working, or a more convivial “allegro” car suitable for families“.

Our SNCF Voyageurs subsidiary has already improved its service to Paris-Lyon by taking care of its customer service for business travelers, because we understand that it is a strong point of Italians to position themselves on the high-end of the rail sector.. “, declared a few days ago the boss of SNCF, Jean-Pierre Farandou, in Liberation.
