Inflation allowance and energy check: exceptional aid paid from Monday, December 13, 2021 – LCI

In either case, the payments will be spread over several weeks. From Monday, two exceptional aids will be sent to a number of French people, namely the energy check, which concerns nearly 5 million low-income households, and the inflation allowance, which concerns 38 million people.

Who is eligible for these two devices? In what order will they be shipped and until when? What is the amount of this aid? We take stock.

Announced last September to cope with the rise in electricity and gas prices, the exceptional “energy check” will be sent over two weeks, according to the departments.

In details, from December 13 to 17, it will be sent to the inhabitants of the Île-de-France, Bourgogne Franche-Comté, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Brittany, Pays de la Loire, Center Val-de-Loire, Corsica, Grand-Est regions (with the exception of Bas-Rhin), Hauts-de-France, Normandy. The overseas departments (Guyana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Réunion, Mayotte), Creuse, Corrèze and Deux-Sèvres are also affected by this first shipment.

Then, from 20 to 22 December, the check will thus be sent to households in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, the southern region (formerly PACA), Occitanie and Bas-Rhin.

People eligible for this bonus of 100 euros should receive it “between 2 to 4 days” after it has been sent, directly to their mailbox. Note that the French, who have chosen to allocate their check automatically to their energy supplier, will be notified by email or by post from December 22 to indicate that it has been taken into account. Whatever the case, this grant can be used until March 31, 2022.

Announced in October, the “inflation compensation” of 100 euros concerns 38 million employees, self-employed, farmers, invalids, retirees, unemployed, recipients of minimum social benefits, scholarship students, receiving less than 2,000 euros net monthly. It will begin to be paid on Monday and Tuesday to scholarship students, Budget Minister Olivier Dussopt announced on Sunday. Payments will continue until the end of February for retirees.

Employees under private law should receive the bonus at the end of December, via their company: “From the end of December for those who can”, said Olivier Dussopt on franceinfo, the State committing to “pay off extremely quickly” companies (credits on their social contributions). For public sector employees, it will be “at the latest” in January, specifies the ministry.

The Urssaf will be responsible for paying the sum from December 20 to employees employed at home by individuals, but some will still have to transmit their bank details, the Urssaf having approximately 400,000 RIB out of the million employees identified. For the self-employed and micro-entrepreneurs it will be during December, February for the artist-authors.

Tax-exempt, it will be paid in one go and automatically.
