4 great concerts by Vicente Fernández that became an album

(CNN Spanish) – December 12 was already a special date for many Mexicans for the Day of the Virgin of Guadalupe. Now, a legend of national music has just made it even more significant.

Vicente Fernández, the greatest of ranchera music in Mexico, died this Sunday at the age of 81 in a hospital in the city of Guadalajara, according to a publication on his official Instagram account.

Many people in Mexico and abroad, including celebrities and politicians, have given their condolences to the family and have also remembered the legacy left by the “charro de Huentitán.”

Although his career extends to the world of cinema, Vicente Fernández leaves behind an unattainable heritage in the musical aspect: he recorded more than 300 songs, sold more than 65 million albums worldwide, won three Grammys and eight Latin Grammys.

1. “An Aztec in the Azteca”
