Olivier Dussopt, Minister Delegate in charge of Public Accounts, announced on Sunday December 12 on franceinfo that “the first installments” of the inflation allowance will be made “tomorrow” Monday. The Prime Minister announced last October an inflation premium to protect the purchasing power of the French. A law was passed in December and the decrees appeared in the Official Journal this Sunday morning.

“From tomorrow, the first payments will take place”, announced the minister. Compensation of 100 euros for 38 million French people who earn less than 2,000 euros net per month. Employees, retirees, job seekers whether they are compensated or not, scholarship students, beneficiaries of social minima, farmers and self-employed workers are eligible for this bonus, detailed the minister.

Scholarship students will be the first beneficiaries from tomorrow Monday, then will follow “in the week, the self-employed” of which “the URSAFF have bank details”, said Olivier Dussopt. Out of a million private individuals, the URSAFF only have 400,000 RIB: “They are working to retrieve the contact details they do not have”, he assured.

“By the end of December, most of the private sector employees will be beneficiaries. We have a payment schedule that starts tomorrow and goes until the end of February for retirees.”, he continued. For employees, private and public companies will be responsible for paying compensation to their employees as provided by law: “We will reimburse both private and public employers extremely quickly”, assured the minister.
