“This is a sign that the efforts of the French are working”, adds Gabriel Attal who does not hide the government’s objective: to profit “of a Christmas together”. To do this, we must continue “those little cautions that make the big differences”, maintains the spokesperson.

Among other things, wearing a mask, barrier gestures, but also vaccination. “The vaccine acts as a dam against contamination and transmission of the virus, he recalls. With a massive vaccination campaign, we can help flatten this 5th wave. “

Yesterday, 780,000 people received a booster dose, announces the government, this is the highest number since the opening of the injection to adults. At the microphone of France Bleu Alsace this morning, Prime Minister Jean Castex, meanwhile, welcomed the more than 52 million first-time vaccines. “We have crossed the 90% mark, we can be happy about that”, he emphasizes.
