BRATISLAVA. In several Slovak cities, a campaign was launched on Saturday to support vaccination against the disease Covid-19 Let’s have a Christmas.

The decision to get vaccinated is supported by several personalities of cultural life, athletes and politicians who went out into the field.

The prime minister is also campaigning

The nationwide campaign was launched by the Prime Minister Eduard Heger and the Minister of Health Vladimir Lengvarsky in Ivachnova near Ružomberok.

“Everyone who came today has helped make Christmas better and so that health care can be provided for anyone with other diagnoses,” the prime minister said.

On Saturday, 62 people came to Ivachnova to be vaccinated, many of them first-graders. According to the Prime Minister, it is important that we build the confidence we have in the vaccines that have been expected in our country for years as well as in the Covid-19 vaccine.

The Ministry of Health also considers it important to raise awareness of the importance of vaccination. The Minister of Health has invited all those who receive the second or third dose to be vaccinated vaccines, but also those who have not yet been vaccinated.

Doctors will also answer those people who are afraid or unanswered questions about vaccination.

Lengvarský praises Žilina County

Lengvarský praised the activity of the Žilina self-governing region, which through the VakciZuzka project vaccinates the inhabitants of the region directly in their municipalities.

“The more people in the campaign can be vaccinated, the better. A few months ago, I communicated that 60-percent vaccination would be great. At the moment, we are at about 50 percent, if it is 60, I will be very satisfied, “the minister added.

According to the chairwoman of the Žilina Region, Erika Jurinová, the vaccination team has already vaccinated almost 10,000 inhabitants in 200 municipalities in the region as part of the VakciZuzka project.

“They are also the ones who have helped us to give ourselves a truly healthier Christmas. We do not know a more sensible route than vaccination, “Jurinová concluded, adding that another eight vaccination centers within the region were involved in the campaign.

Korcok: Vaccination is the only way

The Trnava self-governing region also joined the campaign. “I have an understanding for people who, for various reasons, have fear, insecurity and have not yet had the courage to get vaccinated. But I have no understanding for people who spread misinformation and lies. It’s a huge irresponsibility. Vaccination is the only way to get out of the pandemic, “said the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs during his visit to the large-scale vaccination center in Trnava. Ivan Korčok (nom. SaS).

During this weekend, health professionals in the Trnava region are vaccinating those interested in three large-capacity vaccination centers, in Trnava, Dunajská Streda and Skalica.

They administer the first, second and third doses, the third dose being intended mainly for people who have received an SMS from the National Health Information Center, with an exchange card from a doctor, medical staff or those who have passed six months since the second dose.

The Bratislava self-governing region also took part in the Let’s Give Christmas campaign.

Ready for maximum

The mobilization week to support vaccination against Covid-19 was prepared by the Ministry of Health in cooperation with local governments. The aim of the campaign is to support the interest in vaccinations and to contribute to the greater vaccination of Slovakia.

The campaign, during which the maximum number of vaccination capacities will be prepared throughout Slovakia, will last until 17 December.

People can be vaccinated in 65 hospitals, 27 polyclinics, 19 large-capacity vaccination centers, 602 outpatient clinics, and 178 trips are planned in the villages. More than 100,000 vaccines have been prepared for registered and tens of thousands for unregistered applicants.
