The deployment of OxygenOS 12 (Android 12) on the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro is suspended due to too many bugs.

A rollout of a major update to a brand’s smartphones is supposed to be a welcome event. This is unfortunately not the case with OxygenOS 12, the interface based on Android 12 offered for a few days on Oneplus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro.

Several annoying issues have been reported on OxygenOS 12. Between animation worries, glitches, incorrect displays and faulty facial recognition, the new interface was under fire from critics. This therefore prompted OnePlus to suspend the deployment of Android 12 on the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro.

OnePlus confirms to suspend OxygenOS 12

“We are aware of the issues caused by the OxygenOS 12 update and our software team is working to resolve them.», Explains the manufacturer to Android Police. “We will be suspending this software update and rolling out a new iteration as soon as possible“.

Remember that this is a priori the last official version of the OnePlus interface. OxygenOS is indeed supposed to merge with ColorOS Oppo to gradually lower the flag by the end of 2022. The technical problems observed may be due to this project.

It’s unclear when OnePlus will resume deployment pushing its fixes. A priori, people who have already made the transition to OxygenOS 12 will have to take their troubles patiently. We hope it won’t last very long, but this case is a blow to both OnePlus and its users.
