The family has no idea who they buried in the tomb in Sečovce (Košice district). The nurses thought their father had died three years ago, but now they found out he was in a Prague hospital. It turned out that someone pretended to be a man and proved himself with a lost ID card, according to the portal tn.cz.

The urn of an unknown man is placed in the cemetery in Sečovce. The incredible story began in 2018. Lenka Pencáková, who lives in Prague and her sister from Belgium, learned of the death of a father whom they had not seen in years. When they arrived at the funeral home in Prague, they showed them a copy of their father’s ID card, but they did not see the body. It was reportedly in poor condition.

After the funeral in Slovakia, they would not have dreamed that everything was different. This year, the police told them that there was a patient in a hospital in Prague who was supposed to be “dead” for three years. So they need DNA tests.

Identity confirmed. The man did not report the loss of his ID years ago, and the one who found him pretended to be for years. He also died with a foreign identity.

The real owner of the document did not know at all that he was actually buried. Lenka Pencáková’s father is currently in a hospital for the long-term sick in Prague. Police are now investigating who the family actually placed in the tomb. Watch the NOVA TV report.
