Our champion declared that he was going to Copenhagen to win, which commanded him the position in the table before the match. Especially in the first half, it was too careful for our team. Slovan could not get into the match.

He played little with the ball and was not active enough in the forward direction. There was no idea or a longer section in which to hold the ball. There were a lot of inaccuracies and at the same time few good individual performances. On the contrary, the young youths not only showed enthusiasm and desire, but also played a match at the required quality level. ”

Were you surprised by the way one or the other team played?

“I expected Slovan to push harder on the offensive. Only Weiss Jr. he tried to come up with something, but he had little support on the parties. Dražal and Dražič were not active enough. There was no exact pass from the back players. Slovan often kicked the balls and Henty put them in difficult positions. At the same time, it should be added that they also bounced too much from him and we have already seen better matches on his part.

Overall, I believed that Slovan would be more active. The tactic was certainly well built, but its execution failed. From the point of view of the locals, I was surprised that with so many changes in the Copenhagen line-up, she adhered well to the system. The Danish players were not at all seen to be underplayed. ”

Slovan was given a chance to change things around. The main problem, however, was that the whites didn’t get to the next goal chance, do you agree?

“It simply came to our notice then. It can be said that Medvedev’s chance could have been a turning point. At the same time, he did not solve it badly, he pushed himself into position and at the end he also lacked luck. The real problem, however, is that if you really want to win, you have to have three or four such situations in front of the opponent’s goal in one half. And that didn’t happen. ”

Slovan finished in the cup Europe, in the spring Copenhagen and PAOK Thessaloniki will play in the Conference League. Were they the two strongest teams in the F-group?

“They were favorites to advance, but Slovan could have surprised and probably had. He did not lose the promotion in the match in Copenhagen. He had played matches in which he could have won more. For example, in Thessaloniki, where he played a great match and showed the potential that players in the club have. In other fights, it didn’t work out that way.

The problem was also that the match in Copenhagen did not capture the Slav team at the best stage during the season. It was definitely better at the beginning of the summer. In the league, it will still play as a result, but it is not the performance. And in duels against opponents like FC Copenhagen, you need an above-standard form of individual and team, and that has not happened now. ”
