Covid-19: 24 classes and 2 schools closed in the Pyrénées-Orientales, 18 in Aude – L’Indépendant

The academy of Montpellier unveiled this Friday the figures relating to the Covid-19 epidemic. It reveals, among other things, that 2,361 cases of Covid-19 have been detected among students (out of 493,185), and 163 among staff (out of 47,800), over the past seven days.

If 6 school structures (out of 2395 in total) are completely closed (against 2 last Friday), 139 classes have closed their doors in the academy. A figure in clear decrease compared to last week (264) which is explained by the change of procedure. Indeed, since November 29, a class no longer closes from 1^er Covid case. It takes 3 for the class to close.

In the Eastern Pyrenees, 24 classes and 2 establishments are closed (against one school and 88 classes last week). In the Aude, 18 classes are closed (compared to 25).
