The Very Peri shade, announced by Pantone as the Color of 2022, is a completely new color that has emerged in recent months. Although at first glance it may seem like a pastel purple tone, professionals point out that it was created by a fusion of red and blue undertones in purple and is really very specific. It is also intended to represent the transformation of the physical and digital world that society has been experiencing recently.

“This color expresses a friendly, joyful attitude and a dynamic presence that encourages bold creativity and imaginative expression,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, in a media statement. They revealed that professional color creators combined several existing colors to finally create a charming, gentle, meditative and transformative “Very Peri”.

Of course, this color tone has only appeared in the field of design for years, while its richer purple tones score especially with fashion designers. For example, the Lanvin brand has built almost half of its current collection on them – autumn / winter 2021. The colors on which Very Peri is based have already appeared in fashion.
