There are doctors who say you have it for 2 years ”: Jean-Pierre Pernaut talks about his state of health – Closer France

Jean-Pierre Pernaut was invited this Thursday, December 9 in Touche pas à mon poste, on the occasion of the broadcast of the documentary “Jean-Pierre Pernaut: la vie après”, broadcast on C8. The reporter gave news about his state of health after discovering that he had lung cancer a few months ago.

“I feel good”. It’s a Jean-Pierre Pernaut in great shape that viewers were able to discover this Thursday, December 9 on the Touche plateau not at my post. Last spring doctors diagnosed him with un lung cancer. Since then, the former presenter of the 13 Hours of TF1 has been fighting to overcome the disease. He thus underwent an operation of the right lung last July. A real success, but a few months later, he learned that the left lung was also affected. This time, it was impossible to operate. He must therefore follow radiotherapy sessions.

Faced with Cyril Hanouna, Jean-Pierre Pernaut indicated that the processing was now complete, and that he felt in good shape, even if he had to face moments of fatigue. “When we see you Jean-Pierre, we say to ourselves”Jean-Pierre he is unsinkable, and he is always in good spirits “, launched Cyril Hanouna, visibly admiring the strength of character of the journalist. “But I try to have it because there is Nathalie who plumps me up all the time. I’m having fun in my job, I keep working at a different pace from before. I don’t miss the 1pm at all. And the TV, I’ve done so much that I can move on a bit “, replied Jean-Pierre Pernaut.

Jean-Pierre Pernaut in uncertainty about the evolution of his disease

The journalist still admitted that he continued to be afraid, not knowing how the disease will develop. It must be said that no one can really enlighten him on this subject, not even the medical profession. When Cyril Hanouna asked him what his doctors were saying, Jean-Pierre Pernaut replied: “They say nothing. There are doctors who say “You have two years, three years”. They really don’t know. There are people who get by even when they are said to be convicted, because the doctors are making progress and the treatments are making progress steadily.

However, Jean-Pierre Pernaut has blind confidence in them, and remains ready to test all possible treatments to get out of it, even if it means feeling some side effects such as a feeling of exhaustion or heavy coughing fits.
