HELSINKI – Slovak floorball players fought their way to the elite eight at the World Championships in Helsinki. The trustees of coach Radomír Mrázek have all four meetings at the championship so far. In the basic group, they managed smoothly with the USA 15: 1, Poland 8: 4 and Thailand 15: 2. They advanced to the quarterfinals for the second time in the history of the World Cup, so far they have only succeeded in Zurich in 2012, but the championship was still played in the old format.

In the fight for the semifinals, a match with the home defenders of the Finnish title awaits them on Wednesday. The meeting starts at 17:45, watch the ONLINE broadcast on Športky.
