Kia Sportage has Slovak prices. It attracts the price, but it has a catch – Podkapotou.sk

Yesterday, the carmaker Kia launched a pre-sale of the new Sportage model in Žilina.

The new, fifth-generation Kia Sportage comes with an extravagant design. The manufacturer boasts of improvements in every aspect and the car certainly can’t deny a wide variety of innovations compared to the end generation.

The car, like the larger Sorento, comes in versions with a purely internal combustion engine, a mild hybrid, a hybrid and a plug-in hybrid. All these versions will be produced for the European market at the plant in Žilina. The specifics of the European version of the model are smaller wheelbase and smaller overall length compared to the global Sportage model. The Kia car targets more to the city and the surrounding area than to the position of a universal SUV. However, thanks to the body and interiors, the car does not lose its versatility, but fits more into the competition in the C-segment SUV and grabs the customer’s favor not only with cars such as Ateca or Karoq, but especially with Qashqai and sister Tucson. Despite the smaller external dimensions, the car is slightly larger than its predecessor. It will offer up to 591 liters of volume in the trunk and should also be enjoyed by second-row passengers, where Kia promises spaciousness at the top of the segment. In addition, ADAS systems, high-quality Harman Kardon sound systems and large screens in front of the driver with a size of 12.3 inches.

The new Sportage will start in Slovakia at a price of 22,900 euros for a version with a 1.6 T-GDi 110 kW four-cylinder petrol engine with manual transmission and Silver equipment. Gold, Platinum and GT-Line equipment stand above Silver.

Silver is really a decent piece of equipment. The car has Full LED lights, tinted glass, 17-inch alloy wheels, a number of assistants and airbags, a leather steering wheel and gearshift knob, reverse air vents with manual air conditioning and an eight-inch touch screen with CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

In addition to the petrol engine, you can also buy the latest version of the 85 kW diesel engine, also with a manual transmission, in the Silver equipment.

The hook from the title is in the surcharge for the automatic transmission. You can’t buy it with basic equipment or with a purely internal combustion engine. The “surcharge” for the slot machine is 6500 euros. The price of the 1.6 T-GDi Gold 2WD 7DCT version starts at a stock of 29,190 euros. Read 600 euros and you have the 1.6 T-GDi Gold 4WD iM6 version (28,590). On the contrary, add 1800 euros to the version with the machine, and you have a version with both the machine and all-wheel drive (30,990). Version with the same mild-hybrid engine, but with higher power – 132 kW will cost you another 1400 euros more expensive.

You can achieve the maximum performance of the 1.6 CRDi four-cylinder diesel already in the Gold equipment. Exactly 100 kW goes from 28,990 euros. In the case of the version with the machine, it is 31,990 and you will pay 33,790 euros for 4WD with the machine.

If you are asked for more horses, you need to move to larger electrified versions. You can buy the HEV with A6 gearbox and 2WD drive in Gold equipment for CZK 31,890. The 4WD hybrid is available in Gold for EUR 33,690. The combination of the powerful 1.6 T-GDi 132 engine and electric motor makes 169 kW available regardless of charging – as the car charges the flashlight itself.
