Updated 10:22 Minister of Labor Milan Krajniak is not responsible for compulsory vaccinations in social services facilities. He considers the currently proposed measures to be correct, only the details are being fine-tuned. “I understand that older people in particular are more conservative in that they have other contraindications, so they may be worried. We have managed to convince clients that more than 80 percent of people are vaccinated.” he added, adding that the curve of positive people in the facilities is falling.

Updated 10:15 Speaker of Parliament Boris Kollár also came to today’s government meeting. According to him, they have no coalition council. Krajniak added that he apparently came for new anti-pandemic measures to fine-tune the details. “I suppose there will be a debate on the details, I don’t know there will be any major contradictions,” he said.

The Ministry of Labor justified this by the fact that the unemployment rate has dropped significantly in the recent period, which means that parents who end their normal parental allowance can secure an income.

A package of measures agreed by the coalition

After a minor change, the three-phase measures presented by the Minister of Health on Monday were adjusted. What has changed and what remains? The agreement is valid until January 9 next year.

– from Friday 10 December, churches and shops will open in the OP mode (vaccinations, overcoming) according to m2
– buses and trains will be in OTP mode (vaccinated, tested, overcome)
– from Saturday 11 December, the ski lifts will also open in the OP mode (vaccinations, overcoming)
– from Monday, December 13, the 2nd grade of elementary school and high school will move to distance teaching
– from 25 December, hotels and hotel restaurants will be in the OP regime (vaccinations, overcoming), a test for entry will be mandatory for them (PCR tests for 72 hours and AG tests for 48 hours)
– people over the age of 60 will receive cash for the vaccination, a maximum of € 300 for three benefits
– tests for children under 12 are canceled (they will have the status of a parent)
– control of work from home and compliance with the curfew will also be increased

Mandatory vaccination from January?

One of the other measures is the vaccination vouchers of the Minister of Finance Igor Matovič. He also introduced a surprising change yesterday. The coalition eventually agreed that seniors would not receive 500 euro bills, but 300 euros per hand.“This is the latest attempt to get the most vulnerable people to be vaccinated with positive motivation,” said Matovic. Deputy Prime Minister Veronika Remišová has even spoken about mandatory vaccinations for a group of people over the age of 60 since January.

He assumes that he could have a month to do so and then they could decide on the basis of the current situation. “We want people to be vaccinated voluntarily,” says Lengvarsky. “We need to find a way that is clear, enforceable and does not burden the whole public health system by imposing fines that do not motivate people.” he noted.
