In the second duel of the RB Leipzig group, Manchester City defeated Manchester City 2: 1 and won the participation in the spring European League UEFA.

Nicolo Barella received a red card in the second half, confirmed by VAR. In the 78th minute, Marco Asensio decided the home win with an exhibition shot from behind the penalty area. Škriniar played the whole game and had a chance to reduce, but in the 85th minute he headed only to the goalkeeper.

Croatian midfielder Luka Modrič from Real recorded the jubilee 100th start in LM and became the 43rd player who succeeded in this competition. In the group’s second match, Shakhtar Donetsk drew Sheriff Tiraspol 1: 1 in Kiev.
