Champions League: potential opponents of PSG in the round of 16 – RMC Sport

Second in its Champions League group behind Manchester City, PSG will not be seeded for the draw for the round of 16 next Monday. Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Real Madrid, winners of their respective pools, are among the potential opponents.

Eight games remain to be played on Wednesday, but Paris Saint-Germain is already well advanced in terms of its potential opponents in the round of 16 of the Champions League. Qualified for second place in Group A, behind Manchester City, PSG will not be seeded in the draw scheduled for Monday, December 13 (12 p.m.). He could fall on the other seven first group, or only six if Losc wins its very open group G. As a reminder, two clubs from the same country or the same group cannot meet at the start of this final phase in round trip.

Apart from Group G, in which RB Salzburg, Sevilla FC and VfL Wolfsburg can also finish first, Group H is also not set. While it is certain that Chelsea and Juventus will be in the eighth, their current equality of points (12) requires waiting for Wednesday’s results to establish the final classification. For now, the advantage is for the Blues, thanks to their particular goal difference of +3 over the Bianconeri. For groups B, C, D, E and F, the first are known: Liverpool, Ajax, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Manchester United.

The eighth return leg is scheduled for February 15-16 and 22-23. The return matches will take place on March 8-9 and 15-16.
