The Supreme Court did not find a reason to reject the charges against Kováčik and Košča – SME.sk

BRATISLAVA. The Supreme Court has not found a reason to dismiss the charge against the former special prosecutor Dušan Kováčik and businessman Petr Košč in a case where they are accused of corruption.

The Senate granted the prosecutor’s complaint, annulled the resolution of the Specialized Criminal Court and ordered him to act and decide on the matter. Supreme Court spokeswoman Alexandra Važanová informed TASR on Tuesday.

“ŠTS is bound by the opinion of the Supreme Court, and therefore it must act on the accusation,” she added.

A judge of the Specialized Criminal Court in Banská Bystrica dismissed the indictment on November 2 for serious procedural errors and returned the case to the prosecutor.
