Does a photo show “the artillery of the militants of the extreme left” seized at the meeting of Eric Zemmour in Vi – Franceinfo

On Sunday December 5, Eric Zemmour’s first campaign meeting took place. After the announcement of his candidacy, he called on his supporters to find him in Villepinte (Seine-Saint-Denis). On the sidelines of the event, several incidents broke out inside the exhibition center where SOS Racisme activists were attacked, but also outside the room where around sixty people were arrested for protesting in a perimeter not authorized.

On Twitter, several photos, shared more than 1,500 times, show several objects on the ground supposed to show “the artillery of the militants of the extreme left“came to disrupt the event.

Contacted by franceinfo, Albéric Dumont, responsible for the security of Eric Zemmour explains that it is in fact “seized objects belonging to the public and set aside“. Pumbrellas, helmets, water bottles, gourds … All these objects were banned inside the meeting room and were therefore confiscated by the security service. Several activists present, as well as several journalists confirm this version.
