The Slovaks did not catch the start of both halves against the Germans (twice 1: 5) and then only unsuccessfully caught up with the opponents’ lead. The Slovak players caught up from 8:12 to 10:12 in the 22nd minute, but subsequently, after mistakes, they collected in an abandoned goal and the time was 10:15. In the second half, the Germans had a nine-goal lead after a great start (22:13) and that was already decisive. Finally, the German players outclassed the Slovaks by a double-digit difference (36:22) and were able to rejoice in advance from advancing to the main stage of the World Cup.
