British singers Ed Sheeran and Elton John sang a Christmas duet called Merry Christmas together.

According to the bookmakers, he is one of the favorites for this year’s Christmas music hit. The musicians, who are more than 40 years old, have red-green “Christmas” clothes in the clip, sing at the red piano in the Christmas-decorated living room, or walk on snow in a sleigh. Sheeran also makes jokes at her own expense when she tries to act as a “sexy” helper of Santa Claus at one point.

The melody was written jointly by John and Sheeran, and according to Rolling Stone magazine, they created a total of three songs for this Christmas. The clip was preceded by several trailers, which referred to older Christmas hits or a scene from the movie Heavenly Love.

Proceeds from the sale of the single during the holiday season will be shared equally between the charity of the two musicians. The Sheeran Suffolk Music Foundation provides financial support to young musicians under the age of 18, for example by contributing to the purchase of musical instruments. The Elton John AIDS Foundation runs educational programs, works to prevent AIDS, and supports people living with HIV.

The single Merry Christmas will compete for the position of this year’s most popular song, Christmas. But he is also competing with new songs from Adele, ABBA or LadBaby.
