Marián Kočner came to the last hearing of the District Court Bratislava I in the case of bills of exchange, at which the taking of evidence ended and the final speeches were read.

He was accused of trying to persuade Roman Osuský, as a former member, through one of the detained hawks. SIS went to testify to the police in the case of the Marquis’ bills.

Osuský was to testify in favor of Kočner that the bills of exchange were genuine. Kočner recently received 19 years in prison for falsifying them.

Kočner was originally accused of obstructing justice, but later committed the crime into a false statement.

Kočner denies the blame and claims that he only wanted to find out from witnesses from the SIS environment whether there was any mention in the secret service of the bills of exchange.

The court eventually acquitted Kočner, but prosecutor Branislav Murgaš filed an appeal. Judgment so it is not valid.

The prosecutor wanted to increase the sentence

Before reading the concluding remarks, Kočner’s defense wanted to include the interrogation of witness Ľudovít Makó in the file, given that he allegedly questioned the credibility of witness Petr Tóth. The court rejected this and the final speeches were made.
