Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputy Michigan Mike McCabe said the motive for the attack was not yet known. Police also detained several pistols from the suspect while apprehending the suspect. “He had a gun with him, they took him into custody,” McCabe said, refusing to give further details.

The school building was closed and students were ordered to wait in locked classrooms until the building was searched by police. The students were later taken to a nearby grocery store, where their parents could pick them up.

The attacker’s weapon was bought by the attacker’s father

The firearm, which the 15-year-old student attacked, was bought by the minor’s father on November 26. According to Sheriff Michael Bouchard, the student practiced gunfire before the attack, as evidenced by photos on social networks. However, according to Bouchard, it is not yet known why the boys’ father bought the gun.

US President Joe Biden also commented on the tragic event. “At a time when we know all the details (of the attack), I feel sorry for the families who are experiencing unimaginable grief at the loss of a loved one,” Biden said of the attack.

Three students died during the attack – one 16-year-old boy and two girls aged 14 and 17. Eight people were injured, two of them in serious condition and had to undergo surgery. The condition of the remaining six wounded is stabilized. The number of wounded thus rose to eight, compared to the six first reported by the authorities.
