For example, there has been a lot of talk lately that some patients have not been recommended by their GPs. Dostálová advises such people to ask for a confirmed form from a given doctor that she is signing that the person will not be vaccinated. Consequently, if the patient has a serious course of action, the doctor should take responsibility for this. In addition, the pulmonologist reminded that there are very few who cannot be vaccinated due to health complications. Only those who are allergic to a particular component of the vaccine should be careful. Even a person who has had a recent fever and has not felt well should not be vaccinated. In this case, wait until it is completely “fit”.

However, for example, asthmatics who are just feeling well and do not whistle or have other problems should be given, according to Dostál, for sure. According to Sabak, common medicines used by asthmatics should not affect the vaccine. For example, high doses of corticoids or other immunosuppressants have this effect. Those who take blood thinners or are being treated for thrombosis should also be vaccinated. Sabaka has a clear message for such people.

“A causal link between thrombosis and AstraZeneca has only been demonstrated in paradoxical thrombosis, which is cerebral artery thrombosis or other special areas where it does not commonly occur. ” he explained that these were not normal thromboses. In addition, he pointed out that vaccines do not cause thrombosis, but coronavirus does. “We have a huge number of patients who have covide-19 thrombosis, many of whom will die of embolism whether they take blood thinners or not.” warned.

Dostálová subsequently added that people should not play Russian roulette or be vaccinated, or rather overcome the disease. “It may work out well, but it doesn’t have to. With current knowledge on vaccine safety, I think the vaccine is the right way to go,” states. According to Sabak, vaccination will probably be necessary. Because even those who think they are immune have become infected and have had serious events. And some have died. However, with regard to immunity, they pointed out that experts do not yet know what the value of antibodies is sufficient.

However, they know that the effectiveness of vaccination against infection decreases after half a year to 50 to 60 percent, but against the difficult course of effectiveness remains high – at the level of 90 to 95 percent. Also, experts do not yet know whether the third dose will be more effective or whether further revaccination will be needed. However, it will probably need to be revaccinated after a year. According to Dostalova, mixing mRNA and vector vaccines is safe. The Astra Zeneca vector vaccine was given to us in the first younger year, after new people over the age of 65, and these people will receive a Comirnaty mRNA vaccine from the Pfizer / BioNTech consortium as a booster dose.

Dostálová would also recommend vaccination during pregnancy or during the sixth week. However, in the event of a pregnant woman, she would wait until at least the second trimester. “It is ideal if a pregnant woman can be vaccinated in the third trimester, as the child also benefits from the vaccination – when she is born, she already has antibodies in her blood and then receives them through breast milk. ” she pointed out. Sabaka adds that unvaccinated pregnant women have the same risk of getting lung ventilation as the average 60-year-old man. Both add that there is no information that the vaccine causes infertility. This is because many women eventually became pregnant despite vaccinating themselves and their partner.

And when will it all end? According to Sabak, the vaccination will help us get the coronavirus to the level of the flu. “We will probably never get rid of Covid, it will become an endemic virus, so it will be common here and it will cause smaller epidemics, but we will have an immunized population, it will not limit our lives and kill people unnecessarily., ” concluded.
