[MAJ] Future NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4000 will be well engraved in 5 nm by TSMC – Cowcotland

This seems to be confirmed, for its next generation of graphics cards, NVIDIA should change the crmerie for burning its GPUs. Currently, for GeForce RTX 3000, NVIDIA pass through Samsung and proposes, for this Ampre generation, an engraving which is in 8 nm.

But for the GeForce RTX 4000, so in Ada Lovelace, NVIDIA should go well at TSMC and thus take advantage of an engraving which will be this time in 5 nm.

Thereby, AMD and NVIDIA, for the RX 7000 and the RTX 4000, will both offer GPUs with equivalent engraving fineness and which will therefore come from the same factory.

For the planning, it is always mentioned the end of the year 2022, that for Ada Lovelace or RDNA 3, but probably that the announcement will be made earlier in the year, in August or September.

Update of the news of August 30, 2021 : Quickly a small update to tell you that the very serious Digitimes had just confirmed that the engraving fineness of future NVIDIA RTX 4000 graphics cards will be in 5 nm. The maps will be produced by TSMC. Future RADEONs and future NVIDIAs will therefore use the same manufacturing process.
