The first winter episode will decrease in intensity. After a very unstable weekend, which saw the first flakes whiten the landscape, the weather is improving on Monday, November 29. Earlier in the day up to eleven departments were concerned (Ain, Ariège, Corrèze, Creuse, Haute-Garonne, Isère, Puy-de-Dôme, Savoie and Haute-Savoie , the Pyrénées-Atlantiques and the Hautes-Pyrénées.

In addition, the North and the Pas-de-Calais remain in orange vigilance for floods.

It will always be cold with a northerly wind still sensitive, as well as temperatures which are clearly below normal. The minimum will go from -3 to + 1 ° C in general in the grounds, with locally more severe frosts, in particular on the snow-covered grounds this weekend. They will be 2 to 6 ° C on the coasts. The highs will peak between 2 and 7 ° C in the eastern half of the country, 9 to 14 ° C near the Mediterranean, and between 6 and 10 ° C in the western half.

This Monday will however be marked by a gradual improvement, before a slight warming on Tuesday. It will settle in from the east, with precipitation shifting over the Jura and the Northern Alps during the morning. They will also gradually weaken in the afternoon, but will persist until the evening in the mountains. The rain-snow limit will still be very low, around 200 meters. In the West, the weather will remain unstable, with a disturbance in the morning in Poitou-Charentes then Aquitaine, and a little snow in Limousin. At the start of the afternoon, the rains will shift to the south of the Garonne. This overcast weather will be fixed on the Pyrenean massifs, with a rain-snow limit at 1000 meters on the west of the chain, 600 to 800 meters on the east.

Elsewhere and especially in the north of the country, the sky will remain variable during the day, often cloudy. It is in the Mediterranean, as often, that it will be the most beautiful. This Monday day will mark the return of the sun, but with sustained mistral and tramontane.
