Omicron variant, Israel: “Perhaps the most troubling ever”

“The Covid Omicron variant is certainly concerning. Perhaps it is the most disturbing variant we have ever had.” According to reports from the Times of Israel, it is the director general of the Ministry of Health, Nachman Ash, underlining that many elements are still missing that still do not allow us to understand its seriousness and whether vaccinations protect us at best. “I hope they protect us but we will know more in the next few days,” Ash tells ‘Channel 13’, noting that at the moment it appears that vaccination protects against at least serious infections. According to broadcaster Kan, both people found with the variant in Israel are extremely mildly ill. Both have been vaccinated at least twice.
