According to the company’s spokesman Petr Švec, it was a fully electric Peugeot e-208 GT with zero CO2 emissions in the color Blue Vertigo. The Trnava carmaker started series production on June 1, 2006.

“Trnava has so far been the production site of the Peugeot 207, Citroën C3 Picasso, first-generation Peugeot 208, Citroën C3 and second-generation Peugeot 208, which also includes the historically first fully electric version of the e-208 with zero CO2 emissions,” the spokesman said. The three last-named models are currently being produced on the lines, and according to him, many awards from the professional and lay public testify to their popularity. “We can mention the title of European Car of the Year 2020, which is proud of our Peugeot 208 and e-208,” added Švec.

The first model to be produced was the Peugeot 207. In the version with a three-cylinder petrol engine, it was the first vehicle produced in Slovakia that achieved emissions below 100 grams of CO2 per kilometer. The longest produced model was the Citroën C3 Picasso. It has been part of the production lines for eight years.

In 15 years of production, most cars have been made in white and gray. Almost two thirds of production goes to markets in France, Italy, Great Britain, Spain and Germany. “However, vehicles from Trnava can also be found on roads in Central and South America, Oceania, Australia, Israel, Iceland, Japan, Taiwan and New Zealand,” said Švec.

“In June, it was decided that the group would also entrust Trnava with production as part of a new production program, which will begin in the second half of 2023,” the spokesman said.
