Petra Vlhová was the first to enter the track and before the organizers’ verdict she was the second place.
Slovakia was faster than its biggest carousel competitors Lara Gutová-Behramiová and Mikaela Shiffrinová. “Today is a day for tough girls,” the Swiss said to the SRF finish line after joining Vlhova.
The domestic star Shiffrin did not succeed at all, the nine competitors had the worst time. She lost up to 1.38 seconds to French leader Tessa Worley.
The gusts of the wind intensified, the head of Vlh’s former coach Livia Magoni, Meta Hrovatová with number 10, did not get on the track. “The wind was very strong, it would not be a fair race,” said Slovinka.
Weather permitting, there will be a slalom in Killington on Sunday (first round from 15.45 CET).
