Coronavirus in Slovakia: 9,152 new cases and 51 covid deaths – SME.sk

BRATISLAVA. PCR tests revealed 9,152 new cases of the infection on Friday coronavirus – 72 percent of them were not vaccinated. It’s about the same number as on the week ago. The positivity of the tests reached 34.33 percent.

1,883 people had a positive antigen test, almost 72 percent of whom were not vaccinated.

There were 51 deaths due to the pulmonary form of covid.

The most positive PCR tests were in the Košice region and the least in the Nitra region.

The number of covid patients has exceeded the critical threshold of 3,200. Another 56 people have been hospitalized, so there are currently 3,218 people in hospitals.

There are 289 patients in the JIS, 256 people need the support of artificial lung ventilation. More than 84 percent of them are not vaccinated or have only one dose of vaccine.

The first dose vaccines has 2,625,220 people in Slovakia, 2,343,495 people received the second dose of the vaccine and approximately 340,000 people received the third booster dose.

It is vaccinated in 63 hospitals, 15 large-capacity vaccination centers and 15 polyclinics.
