The health situation in Val-d’Oise is deteriorating sharply.

Main consequence: wearing a mask becomes mandatory outdoors in towns with more than 10,000 inhabitants and certain neighboring towns with over 5,000 inhabitants, between 6 am and 7 pm for people aged 11 and over.

In the Val d’Oise, the incidence rate now stands at 203 and the positivity rate at 5.3, corresponding to nearly 2,550 new positive cases per week.

The working population is particularly affected by this deterioration (268.4 for 30-39 year olds and 232.8 for 40-49 year olds).

It should also be noted that the incidence rate of people over 65, the most fragile, is also increasing sharply (more than 42 points in 10 days). The reproduction rate in Île-de-France stands at 1.54, a sign that the Covid-19 is actively circulating.

As a direct consequence of this situation, the hospital sector is impacted with a significant increase in the number of hospitalizations of patients with Covid-19.

“The same goes for the occupancy rate of intensive care beds: to date, 43.2% of intensive care beds are occupied by patients with Covid-19. 90% of them are not protected by the vaccine. “

Likewise, in schools, the number of closed classes has increased considerably (326 closings over the last ten days).

There are effective means to fight against this pandemic, first and foremost vaccination and respect for barrier gestures.

The vaccination

Regarding the vaccination, and more particularly the booster dose: the booster is open to all adults over the age of 18 from Saturday 27 November and this, from 5 months after the second injection,

the validity of the health pass is conditional on the injection of a booster dose within 7 months after the last injection, before December 15 for those over 65 and before January 15 for those under 65.

In the department, ten vaccination centers are currently open (Enghien-les-Bains, Saint-Brice-sous-Forêt, Sarcelles, Villiers-le-Bel, Viarmes, Persan, Magny-en-Vexin, Sannois, Argenteuil and Taverny) and one additional center will open its doors on Wednesday December 1 in Cergy (in the premises of the old ice rink, forecourt of the prefecture).

The capacities of these centers will soon be 60,000 injections per week against 30,000 currently.

In addition, Valdoisiens can go to the pharmacy, to their doctor, to take their booster dose.

Finally, as the end of the year holidays approach, vaccination operations without an appointment in the main shopping centers will be carried out every weekend.

Health pass

Regarding the health pass, its presentation remains compulsory for a certain number of activities and establishments open to the public (ERP), such as bars and restaurants, including on the terrace.

Regarding the respect of barrier gestures, due to the deterioration of the health situation and in order to slow the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic in Val-d’Oise, a prefectural decree was issued today, until February 20, 2022 in order to regulate the wearing of masks outdoors in the department.

Wearing a mask is compulsory in public spaces

Thus, wearing a mask is now compulsory between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. for people aged 11 and over in all public spaces in municipalities with more than 10,000 inhabitants, in certain neighboring municipalities with more than 5,000 inhabitants, as well as in neighboring areas. following municipalities: Boisemont, Puiseux-Pontoise, Neuville-sur-Oise, Ennery, Valmondois, Butry-sur-Oise, Mours, Nointel, La Frette-sur-Seine, Frépillon, Montlignon, Andilly, Margency, Piscop, Moisselles, Bonneuil- in France, Le Thillay, Vaudherland, Roissy-en-France and Seugy.

In addition, for all the municipalities of Val-d’Oise, wearing a mask remains compulsory for people 11 years of age and over, in the following situations:

• in the vicinity of all primary, secondary and higher education establishments in Val-d’Oise located within a perimeter of 50 meters around their entrances and exits, during entry and exit times classes and courses,
• within all SNCF and RATP stations and all Val-d’Oise bus stations as well as their surroundings, within a perimeter of 50 meters around their entrances and exits,
• In public transports,
• in the vicinity of all places of worship, within a perimeter of 50 meters around their entrances and exits, at times of entrances and exits of offices and ceremonies,
• in open or fairground markets, flea markets and unpacking sales,
• in gatherings, festivals and events, in particular sporting events, Christmas markets, and in places of worship,
• near shopping centers on Saturdays and Sundays,
• in all spontaneous or organized queues in public spaces.

Note that wearing a mask also becomes compulsory in the Val-d’Oise in the playgrounds from the preparatory course (CP).

These measures supplement the provisions of the decree of Wednesday, November 25, 2021 prescribing the general measures necessary for the management of the exit from the health crisis which provides for the obligation to wear a mask in all establishments open to the public.
