PRAGUE – More than 18,000 infected people have arrived in the Czech Republic in the past coronavirus.
Another 33 people have died from complications related to the covid, the authorities have registered 32,523 victims since the beginning of the pandemic, the Czech Ministry of Health.
5,886 people with hospitals are hospitalized and almost 850 of them are in serious condition.
The seven-day incidence also climbed to a new high – 1,097 of them had infected 100,000 inhabitants in the past week. Compared to last Wednesday (819), this is an increase of almost 34 percent.
The news server iDNES.cz also informed that a large-capacity ambulance was leaving Prague around 6.30 am to bring ten covid patients connected to oxygen from Brno. The reason is the congested hospitals in Brno, the mayor of Prague, Zdeněk Hřib, posted on Twitter.
Prime Minister Andrej Babiš announced that the government will take further anti-civic measures on Friday. He did not rule out a state of emergency.
