3rd dose on November 27: Did Doctolib spoil Olivier Véran’s announcements? – The HuffPost

HEALTH – This must be the strong announcement of the press conference ofOlivier Véran facing the fifth wave of Covid-19: the opening of the booster dose, sometimes also called 3rd dose, to all adults. An opinion to this effect from the Haute Autorité de Santé published this Thursday, November 25, confirms the government’s orientation.

Even before these announcements, it appears that Doctolib has taken the lead, possibly spoiling the speech of the Minister of Health.

A detour in the morning on the site thus allowed to read a funny indication when one tried to make an appointment for a reminder dose. As you can see in the capture below, people over 65 are no longer the only ones who can register. Doctolib opens its appointments from Saturday 27 November to all people over 18 years old.

This indication suggests that as of Saturday all adults will be able to have their third dose from the time when 5 months have elapsed since their previous injection.

If this is indeed the case, Doctolib will witness a stampede on its site. This has actually already started. BFMTV revealed that 360,000 appointments for a booster dose were made on Tuesday, November 24, a record since the opening of this vaccination campaign.
