More and more French players – Cowcotland

According to a study commissioned by the SELL (Syndicate of Leisure Software Publishers), French players are more and more numerous, this turns out to be true for occasional habits, at least once a year, or chronic, at least once a week. The study was carried out between September 6 and 27, 2021, among 4,016 people aged over 10 years.

On this panel, 58% of respondents say they play at least once a week, which would represent an increase of 6 points compared to the year 2020. We learn that 47% are regular players and 53% regular players.

73% of respondents say they play at least once a year, which represents an increase of two points compared to the 2020 survey. The survey also reveals that parents are more invested in their children’s video game, 77% say they gamble. with them (66% in 2020) and 70% say they supervise the practice of video games of their descendants, by participating in the choice of games, or as present during the games sessions. 48% of parents use parental controls, in order to filter accessible content (they were only 37% in 2020).
