Expert Council proposal: Close schools, leave basic shops open and let people go to work – TVNOVINY.sk

The government is due to take new measures on Wednesday to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus. Prior to the final decision, the Consular Council published a statement on the current pandemic situation. Read what they suggest.

– take measures at the national level in all districts of the Slovak Republic, regardless of color in the COVID vending machine, for all citizens of the Slovak Republic for a period of 3 weeks

– restrict the movement of residents, in particular to travel to work under the OTP regime for employees who cannot work from home and to travel to facilities and services necessary for life

– unvaccinated employees and those who did not exceed COVID-19 should be tested at least twice a week

– to suspend full-time teaching from 25 November to 3 December for pupils in the 2nd grade of primary, secondary and tertiary schools. Maintain only full-time teaching at the first stage of primary school and in kindergartens.

– cancel all children’s extracurricular activities

After the situation improves, relax measures, especially for vaccinated citizens and those who have overcome COVID-19.

“We support inter-ministerial cooperation in the adoption, implementation and control of these proposed measures. In order to protect health, human lives and improve the situation in health facilities, it is essential to further increase the vaccination coverage of the population. We realize that the measures we propose will only be effective if we all comply with them. It depends on each of us, “says the opinion of the Council of Experts.
