Pellegrini called on the president to take action, she bequeathed to him TOTO – Pluska.sk

She thinks that long ago she should have acted and called on Prime Minister Eduard Heger (OĽANO) and other government officials to ask them about the current situation.

The Office of the President of the Slovak Republic responded by discussing the situation and the need to take measures with the Prime Minister. According to her, Pellegrini should join in solving the situation, lead by example and support lockdown.

“Already yesterday, Prime Minister Heger was supposed to sit on her carpet and answer questions about what the government is going to do to stop the dying of hundreds of people a month,” Pellegirni said to the president. According to Pellegirni, her strong words after meeting with doctors at the Bratislava hospital are not enough.

He urged her to move from speech to action, to intervene within her competencies, and not just a commentator. “It is time for the president to attend the government meeting in a critical situation on Wednesday and ask questions directly to the minister and force her to take action by the authority of the head of state.” added Pellegrini.

Jozef Matej, director of the communication department at the Office of the President of the Slovak Republic, responded by saying that the head of state had met with Prime Minister Heger on Monday (November 22), talking about a serious pandemic situation and the need to take strong action.

After visiting the hospital in Ružinov in Bratislava on Tuesday, the president announced that we were losing the fight against the pandemic and we needed a lockdown that should affect everyone. She spoke about the need to change attitudes and pointed to the number of hospitalized, victim and exhausted health professionals. She also called for an end to the spread of “COVID delusions”.
