TERRORISM – Thirteen activists belonging to theultra right “Recolonization” were arrested this Tuesday, November 23 by the gendarmes of the Central Office for the fight against crimes against humanity, we learned from a source close to the file confirming information from BFMTV.

These arrests took place “throughout France”, the same source added, specifying that these operations had been carried out on the rogatory commission of an examining magistrate in Marseille for “organization and participation in a group of fight”.

The thirteen activists, twelve men and a woman “aged 21 to 52, of various profiles” were placed in police custody, the Marseille prosecutor’s office said in a statement.

Weapons found

“The members of this group, including the founding member living in Marseille, are suspected of having access to weapons and of posing a threat to public order by their participation or their plan to participate in violent actions”, added the same source.

During the searches, weapons were discovered “everywhere”, according to a source familiar with the matter, who added that most were legally detained.

The fact of participating in a combat group is punished by three years imprisonment and a fine of 45,000 euros according to the Penal Code, while the organization of a combat group is punished by five years imprisonment and 75,000 euros. fine.

A racist group

The “Recolonization” group, which calls for the constitution of armed groups, has been the subject of surveillance by the General Directorate of Internal Security (DGSI) since the summer of 2020.

According to the Marseille prosecutor’s office, the group is made up of 110 members, including soldiers or former soldiers, spread over the whole of the territory, ”exchanging and coming together around an identity, racist and violent ideology, in particular conveyed through the social networks ”. One of the identified members of the group is a gendarmerie colonel stationed in the Yvelines, specifies BFMTV.

Its members define themselves as “a community group of survivalists and patriots” with an “average age of 30”, “dealing with the recolonization of white French people to our countryside”. Their project is to bring together “a large family of angry Gauls ready to face the collapse”, we can read in a note broadcast on Telegram and relayed by a journalist from the France Televisions verification unit.

According to The Parisian, the rogatory investigation was opened following messages “inciting racial hatred” on these platforms. During the searches, far-right literature and a copy of Mein Kampf were also found.
