Rocket fuel factory explodes in Serbia – Aktuality.sk

A rocket fuel plant near the Serbian capital Belgrade hit several explosions on Tuesday, killing two people and injuring at least 16. The TASS agency informed about it, referring to the Serbian news portal Telegraf.

They felt the earthquakes

According to the report, explosions occurred at the factory of the company EDePro, which is engaged in the production of fuel for anti-hail missile systems, around 2:00 pm CET, and firefighters and police immediately went to the scene. Eyewitnesses spoke of three or four explosions, after which the earthquakes could also be felt.

At the time of the explosions, the factory had about 100 employees, killing two people and injuring at least 16 people. One person is in the intensive care unit with serious injuries and the others are hospitalized with burns and other injuries in a military hospital in Belgrade, one of the first aid doctors told the media. She also reported that several injuries have breathing problems.

After the explosion in the plant, the cars that stood in the parking lot of the factory also started to burn. About 40 firefighters intervened on the spot.

Photographs have appeared on social networks that capture huge clouds of smoke rising from the site of the explosion.
