Nigerian footballer Victor Osimhen will take a break three months after surgery for facial fractures and will not help his country in the African Cup of Nations (APN). The attacker of Naples was injured in a duel with the Slovak representative Milan Škriniar from Inter Milan.

The 22-year-old underwent surgery on Tuesday, during which titanium implants were placed in his cheekbone and eye socket. “The player is doing well and will stay in sight for a few days.” introduced the club.

The convalescence should last three months, which means that Osimhen will not be able to catch the APN, which takes place from 9 January to 6 February in Cameroon. At the same time, he will omit the number of duels in Naples, which he came to last year from Lille for 70 million euros.
