The sale of ASSE would therefore be postponed. Indeed, and according to information given by the Team, none of the takeover offers received by KPMG, the audit and consulting firm responsible for studying takeover files, was deemed sufficient by the two presidents, Bernard Caïazzo and Roland Romeyer.

For the record, two well-known projects clashed: that of the Roussier-Bodmer tandem and that of Olivier Markarian, current sponsor of the club with his former company, Markal. A third project, whose identity has not been given, would also be in the running.
