CORONAVIRUS – The metropolis of Nice announced this Monday, November 22 that as of December 1, all people from 12 years old will be able to be injected a booster dose of the anti-Covid vaccine, which will only be available over the age of 50 on a national level.

“The inhabitants of Nice and Metropolitan who have completed their vaccination cycle six months ago will be able, if they wish, to carry out their 3rd dose in the vaccination centers of the Metropolis, and this, without age limit, from December 1st, from 5 pm at 6 pm, within the limit of the remaining doses available, ”she said in a press release.

The president of the metropolis and mayor of Nice Christian Estrosi assured during a press conference “respect the rules set by the Ministry of Health”, while asking the government to “unblock” vaccination for all concerning this new booster dose.

Estrosi wants “targeted restrictions” for the unvaccinated

The elected representative of Nice also asked the government, if the health situation were to deteriorate, the adoption of measures of “targeted restrictions” for the unvaccinated, in particular in terms of “cultural activities, leisure, sports, commercial or frequenting places where confining people too close to each other could have consequences ”.

“The vaccinated do not have to pay for the unvaccinated, we are not going to put our economy, our cultural activities or our winter sports resorts under cover,” said Christian Estrosi, while saying that he was opposed to containment of injection refractories.

The vaccine booster has been open in France to over 65s since September. It will also be for those over 50 from the beginning of December, while the Haute Autorité de santé has recommended that it be open from 40 years old.
