Sébastien Rogues and Matthieu Souben’s Ocean Fifty Primonial crossed the finish line of the Transat Jacques Vabre on Monday, November 22, 2021, at 9:54 p.m. (local time) in Fort-de-France. He is the winner in his class, but also in the scratch.

Gone 15 days ago from Le Havre, fter a very complicated and not particularly windy crossing of the Atlantic, Primonial won in the 15th edition of the Transat Jacques Vabre, after 15 days 13 h 27 min and 14 seconds of racing.

The other great leaders of the race are still 60 miles from the finish, and Sam Goodchild and Aymeric Chappellier (Leyton) just under 80 miles.

In the wake of the top trio of the Ocean Fifty, the first Ultime will be expected at the finish line.

The Maxi Edmond de Rothschild (Franck Cammas – Charles Caudrelier) was advancing at around 20 knots this Monday afternoon (November 21, 2021) towards Martinique.

Respectively second and third, Banque Populaire XI and SVR – Lazartigue should arrive in Martinique a little later in the day of Tuesday, November 23, 2021.

Despite everything, the Ultimate category offers itself a final suspense, for fourth place. Sodebo Ultim 3, who did a good part of the race at the rear following his foil damage, chose a very northerly route after the São Pedro crossing mark and is benefiting from better wind conditions than his opponent Actual Ultim 3, which is advancing 300 miles further south.

Two thirds of the Imoca fleet have now rolled up Fernando de Noronha’s passing mark (off Brazil). For these, attention is now focused on a rise to Martinique to negotiate well.

In the Class40, while three 40-foot monohulls still have to cross the passage mark of the island of Sal, the head of the Class40 fleet continues, at an average of 11 knots, its crossing of the Atlantic and its progression in the trade winds. .

The two boats which seem to confirm that they are the most efficient in this Transat Jacques Vabre are still Redman (Carpentier – Santurde del Arco) and Volvo (Gerckens – Hantzperg).
