We have received a very unconventional tip in our editorial office, which, with its characteristics, must lift every Member who is appropriately proud of his or her profession and its performance. This is definitely not a positive “certificate” for our legislators.

A dictionary that does not belong to a decent society

The website of the National Council of the Slovak Republic is probably known to everyone who revolves around politics and is interested in it. But few people know that we can also get on the list of our Members in a very unconventional and expressive way. All you have to do is type the page into a web search engine “www.ko * oti.sk” (The whole name of the website is, of course, censored due to its vulgarity, editor’s note.). After writing this shocking page, the user immediately gets to the list of current deputies who sit in parliament during this election period.

Who is behind this fad?

For understandable and worrying reasons, we turned to the press department of the National Council, which we informed about this link to the NRSR.sk website. We have not yet adopted Parliament’s position.

After a deeper look at the specific connection with the website of the National Council of the Slovak Republic, it is obvious that the connection works thanks to the cooperation of the Czech Internet company and a certain Robert J., who is mentioned in connection with this vulgar web connection in the last passage of the website. The method of “connecting” to the National Council website has probably been working since September 14 this year.

The expert claims that he is not thinking about this legislation yet

As this is an issue from the point of view of IT technology, we also asked the expert Ondrej Mack for an opinion on this incident. He immediately “diagnosed” this phenomenon. “This is a so-called redirect that virtually anyone can create. There is a programmed function on the website that does nothing but redirect the user to the NRSR portal after entering this page,” describes Macko.

Of course, we were also interested in this matter from the point of view of law. “I don’t think the legislation has thought about this yet, and I don’t think it’s a criminal offense.” concluded Macko.
