The winning goal was scored by defender Matt MacKenzie. The Slavs have consolidated the first place with a victory and after 18 matches they have 36 points on their account. In the first half of the match we played well in overtime, in the second it wasn’t it. “But that’s how I think we’re taking the point. It’s a pity that we got a goal after a mistake in overtime. But I think today’s match will be an encouragement for us in the next matches.”

Róbert Döme, coach of HC Slovan Bratislava: “We had the opportunity to turn the match on our side. The game on our side was lukewarm. We had some signs of pressure, but overall we didn’t play the way we wanted to. We found a way to win the match, but we have to improve.”
