Survey: Less than half of the respondents would go to the third dose – SME.sk

BRATISLAVA. The third dose vaccines less than half of the people surveyed (45.5 percent) want to be vaccinated.

On the contrary, less than a quarter of respondents (22.9 percent) do not plan to do so. IN vaccination less than a third of respondents weighed the third dose (31.5 percent).

This follows from a survey by the Focus agency for the show Na telo Televízie Markíza.

From October 20 to 27, 585 respondents in different age groups asked: Whether you are vaccinated with one or two doses of the vaccine, do you plan to be vaccinated with the third dose of the vaccine?

The third dose is planned to be injected mainly by people over 60 (50.5 percent), the smallest share is in the age category of 25 to 34 years (39.8 percent).

The survey also found that less than four percent of people plan to go vaccinated in the coming weeks. As many as two-thirds of respondents (66.9 percent) are not ready to be vaccinated, and less than a third of respondents (29.3 percent) still have vaccinations.

The survey was conducted before the measures were tightened

The situation in Slovakia has significantly deteriorated since the survey was collected – hospitals are full of covid patients and a humanitarian catastrophe is imminent.

According to the international comparison Our World in Data, Slovakia is the country with the worst epidemic situation in the world in the number of new cases per million inhabitants (seven-day incidence).

However, at the time of the survey, the measures introduced by the government had not yet been taken – for example, that the unvaccinated would be tested when entering work, or the measure that the unvaccinated would not get to shopping malls or restaurants from Monday even with a negative test.
