The number of people hospitalized with the covid for the first time during the third wave exceeded 3,000. PCR tests on Saturday revealed a record number of positives on the weekend, 7727 people (positivity 35%), antigen 1351 positives (positivity 10%). The death toll rose by 43.

Around 350 patients with covid are admitted to hospitals every day (data on the number of admitted patients are gradually increasing into the statistics, so there are lower numbers in the graph for the last few days)

The hospital

According to NCZI data, hospitals recorded an increase of 7 patients to 3004 in the last day, 258 people needed support for artificial lung ventilation. Prime Minister Eduard Heger on Saturday after visiting the hospital in Poprad warnedthat up to 80% of patients connected to pulmonary ventilation will never return home.
