BRATISLAVA. Minister of Labor Milan Krajniak (We are a family) would prefer a three-week lockdown for everyone to a gradual tightening of measures.

Non-attached Member and leader of the non-parliamentary Vote Peter Pellegrini says a hard lockdown can only be considered if the government can provide immediate assistance to the affected operations.

Both politicians are opposed to compulsory vaccination at the same time. They stated this on Sunday’s discussion show TA3 In Politics.

Pellegrini on new measures: Mačkopes

“We have chosen to tighten measures and there will be a lockdown,” said Krajniak.

He would prefer to take tougher measures earlier so that they can take shorter ones. It doesn’t make sense to do a lockdown just for the unvaccinated. According to him, it is important to capture mobility.

“You can only think of a tough lockdown if the government can tell all the affected businesses immediately, don’t worry, we have generous economic aid ready for you,” Pellegrini commented. He asks the government to explain to the people the reasons for the measures and especially their logic.

On the margin of the new measures, he said that “mačkopes” has been in force since Monday. As he noted, the unvaccinated cannot go to the electro, but can go to work without a test.

Both Krajniak and Pellegrinni are against compulsory vaccination

Mandatory vaccination against the disease Covid-19 would not be supported by Krajniak. According to him, the way is personal contact and patient persuasion of vulnerable groups.

Pellegrini reiterated that the introduction of compulsory vaccination could cause enormous tensions and even riots in the streets.

Krajniak also said that a possible invitation from the president Zuzana Čaputová to a round table on possible changes to the constitution so as to shorten the parliamentary term, representatives of We Family would accept. Pellegrini’s Voice called on the Head of State to convene the meeting.

80 percent of ZSS clients are vaccinated

Approximately 80 percent of clients in social services facilities and 70 percent of center employees are vaccinated against Covid-19, said Milan Krajniak.

He added that they launched a third dose of vaccination at the facilities, which was requested by approximately 20,000 clients and employees and was already received by more than 7,000 people.
