Covid India, 6,148 deaths in 24 hours

India today recorded 6,148 deaths in 24 hours from Covid-19, the most serious toll since the beginning of the pandemic, linked to the revision of the data provided by the state of Bihar which brings the total number of deaths in the country to 359,676. The government also reported 94,052 new infections on Twitter, updating the overall toll to 29,183,121 infections since the beginning of the pandemic. The revision of the death toll in the state of Bihar brought the toll from 5,500 to 9,400 with the previously undeclared 3,951 deaths now included in the toll.
