As the left approaches the divided and weakened election, this unique candidacy is desired by voters on the left, according to an Ifop survey for the Sunday Newspaper. Some 53% of left-wing voters questioned want a rapprochement between the socialist Anne Hidalgo and the ecologist Yannick Jadot, resulting in a single candidacy, against 47% opposed to this idea. A rapprochement between the PS mayor of Paris and the MEP EELV, on the other hand, was rejected by 59% of all those polled, against 41% who would be in favor.

The hypothesis of a single candidacy from the left bringing together the PS, EELV, La France insoumise (LFI) and the Communist Party (PCF) would have the favor of 70% of left-wing voters (30% would be against), but would share the larger set of respondents (48% for, 52% against).

Online survey conducted on November 18 and 19, with a sample of 1,510 people representative of the French population aged 18 and over. Margin of error between 1.4 and 3.1 points.
